Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that is especially true when you're camping. If you start your day with a nutritious and delicious breakfast, you'll have the energy you need to enjoy all of the activities that await you. In this blog post, we will share 10 of our favorite camping breakfast recipes. We've got something for everyone! So what are you waiting for? Start planning your next camping trip and get cooking!

1. Scrambled Eggs With Toast

This is a great breakfast no matter where you are! All you need for a complete meal when camping is to scramble some eggs in a pan, toast some bread, and you're done. I prefer to saute spinach, peppers, onion, and mushrooms in addition to the eggs along with cheese. Bacon is an excellent compliment to this dinner. You could also add avocado, diced tomatoes, or hot sauce.

Assuming you have a campfire going:

Start by heating up some oil in a pan that can go over the fire. Crack the eggs into the pan and scramble them until they are how you like them. Toast the bread while the eggs are cooking. Once everything is done, put it all on a plate and enjoy!

2. The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich

The fried egg, gooey cheese, crispy bacon, and crisp green onions make this the perfect breakfast sandwich. What could be better? This meal may all be prepared in one pan!

3. Breakfast Mountain Pies

Mountain pies are a popular camping breakfast because they are easy to make and can be tailored to your liking. All you need is some bread, eggs, and fillings of your choice. I like to use ham, cheese, and veggies like peppers and onions. You can also add bacon or sausage if you want!

To make these, start by heating up some oil in a pan. Crack the eggs into the pan and scramble them until they are how you like them. Add the ham, cheese, and veggies. Put it all on a slice of bread and then top with another slice of bread. Spread some butter on the outside of the sandwich and then place it in the pie iron.

4. Yogurt With Granola

Another no-cook camping breakfast idea is this one. Prepare your favorite yogurt in the cooler for this dinner. I like full-fat Greek yogurt. Finally, pack some granola and honey with the rest of your food, and all you have to do at camp is assemble it. Fresh berries are a wonderful addition to this meal as well.

5. Pancakes

Pancakes are so easy to make while camping, and they’re great for feeding a large group of hungry campers! My favorite pancake mixes are the ones that have a little extra protein like Kodiak Cakes. I thing 50% of all campers have a blackstone now which are perfect for flipping some flapjacks.

Don’t forget to pack the honey and butter!

6. Bagel With Cream Cheese

A bagel with cream cheese is a no fuss quick breakfast. Assuming you have a campfire going though:

Place the bagels on a plate and put them near the fire to warm them up for a minute or two. Then, add the cream cheese. You can also add some smoked salmon, capers, and red onions if you want to crush breakfast before a stellar hike.

7. French Toast

Who doesn't enjoy french toast? No really if you don't like french toast you shouldn't be reading a blog about camping breakfast ideas. Traditional french toast is always wonderful, and all you need is eggs, milk, cinnamon, and maple syrup to prepare it. Again with a blackstone this is super easy to prepare and get ready for the kids before they wake up.

To make french toast, start by whisking together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon in a bowl. Then, heat up some butter in a pan. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture and then place it in the pan. Cook until both sides are crispy and golden brown. Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!

8. Breakfast Burritos

Now its time to step up your breakfast camping game with a good old breakfast burrito. Ideally you can have some of this prepared beforehand to cut down on the time spent. I like to cook a bunch of bacon, sausage, eggs, peppers, and onions the first morning of camping. Then you have all the ingredients ready for breakfast mountain pies, burritos, or tacos.

For breakfast burritos place eggs, meat of choice, cheese, peppers, onions, and hot sauce in a tortilla. Wrap in foil and cook over a fire or on a griddle to heat up.

9. Breakfast Tacos

Making breakfast tacos is a great way to improve scrambled eggs. These tacos are full of peppers, onion, avocado, and cheese, and they're very flexible in terms of ingredient selection.

10. Oatmeal With Fruit And Nuts

When you cook oatmeal over a camp stove with some milk, honey and cinnamon, you get something so comforting and filling. Top with fresh fruit, nuts, maple syrup, coconut… whatever you desire! The combinations are endless. This is a really affordable camp breakfast that will definitely feed a crowd.
